Contemporary Coastal Home Decor Products from Birch Lane that Look Super Expensive (but aren't!)

I actually have your weekly dose of beautiful – and affordable – home decor post done on time today.  Hah!  #crushingitforamonday

This week’s highlighted online source:  BIRCH LANE.

Wayfair has a couple of sisters and Birch Lane happens to be the sophisticated but laid back one.  You’ll find a lot of traditional, coastal, and farmhouse styles on this fun shopping site.

I’ve purchased many things through Wayfair and its other sister, All Modern, but not Birch Lane.  However, that status changed as of yesterday because I ordered this super fun faux flokati rolling stool for my studio and can’t wait for it to arrive this week.   My current office chair is giving me some major back pain and I’m keeping my fingers & toes crossed this cushy stool solves those issues for me.

There are some really beautiful products on Birch Lane, especially the ones with a coastal contemporary vibe so I thought I’d cover a few of those items in today’s post.  And this week, I thought I’d do something a little different by designing 3 mood boards to show you how you can create the foundation of a room’s look just using Birch Lane’s products.

Then you can fill in with throw pillows, candles, blankets, and other crap from local places like Target, Homegoods, TJ Maxx, Pier One, etc.   That way, you can buy more than you need to see what works in your room(s) and then easily return the others without having to ship the stuff back.

Let’s go ahead and take a look at all this good loot, guys!

1. Floor Lamp | 2. Framed Art | 3. Rattan Side Table | 4. Custom Sofa
5. Area Rug | 6. Concrete Side Table | 7. Side Table
8. Striped Armchair (in Cruise Adrift)| 9. Round Coffee Table | 10. Accent Chair

1. Chandelier | 2. Dining Chairs | 3. Extension Table
4. Wall Mirror | 5. Area Rug | 6. Sideboard

1. Wall Sconces | 2. Wall Mirror | 3. Framed Art | 4. Bath Vanity
5. Robe Hook | 6. Paper Holder | 7. Floor Tile |  8. Basket | 9. Towels

If you’ve been thinking about getting a sofa or armchair with custom fabric but don’t want to shell out the dough at Pottery Barn, Arhaus, Crate & Barrel, etc., then you’re going to LOVE Birch Lane.   They have a great selection of affordable, customizable living room furniture that is available in something like 90 different fabrics. They’ll even send you free fabric samples (and they’re really quick about sending those out to you).

I came *THIS* close to ordering a custom slipcovered sofa from Birch Lane when I was designing our current home.  But ultimately, the indigo blue fabric they offered at the time wasn’t “indigoey” enough for me so I ended up getting an IKEA sofa and custom slipcover from Comfort Works instead.

What are your faves on these mood boards? I think my first fave is the pair of white dining room chairs.  They’re so cute and fun and at $150 a pair, they’re priced right.  And my next fave would be that framed art print on the living room mood board. When I look at it, I immediately feel relaxed.  Ahhhh … simple, serene spaces.
